Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Jean Cook

   Jean L. Cook, 76, of Beaverton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at Covenant Harrison Hospital in Saginaw.

   Jean was born Sept. 22, 1928 in Saginaw, the daughter of Roy and Laura (Bouchey) Kipp. She grew up in the Mount Pleasant area and then moved to Hillsdale where she raised her family and worked for Bell Telephone. Later she moved to Harrison where she retired from the Harrison Gas & Oil Company. After her retirement she moved to the Beaverton area to be closer to her family.

   She is survived by four daughters, Laura (Mike) Richman of Prescott, Sheila (David) Cook-Glover of Glennie, Kay (Rodney) Douglas of Beaverton, and Pamela (Jerry) Foye of Hemlock; one son, Randy (Susan) Cook of Davison; five grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew, Michelle, Andrew and Bryan; and one sister, Shirley Hauer of Osseo. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carolyn Jean Cook; grandson, Paul Curtis Douglas; and three sisters, June Martin, Lola Strandberg and Doris Wanda Kipp.

   Funeral services were held Feb. 25 at Riverside Cemetery in Alma with Pastor Mike Wise officiating.

   Memorial contributions may be made to Family Life Radio or The American Lung Association.

   Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home in Alma.
