Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice

Leo Cone
Leo D. Cone, 79, of 245 S. Bowery Ave., Gladwin, died suddenly Monday, Feb. 13, 1989, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Saginaw.
Born in Midland, Feb. 2, 1910, he came to Gladwin County in 1950 from Midland. Mr. Cone owned Cone’s Shoe Store from 1950
until retiring in 1976. He had been an avid golfer and was a member of the Gladwin-Beaverton Bowling Hall of Fame.
Mr. Cone and the former Lillian Wildes were married March 30, 1935, in Angola, Ind. She preceded him in death Nov. 15, 1985.
Surviving are one son, Robert of Gladwin; 2 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. Larry Lewis officiated and burial
was in the Midland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
