Ernest Cone
ERNEST CONE
Ernest Cone, 67, of 713 Stacy Ct., Gladwin, died Saturday, March 30, in the Midland Hospital Center following a long illness. Born in Lansing, June 21, 1917, he came to Gladwin County in Nov. 1984, from New Port Richey, Fla. He retired in 1975 as an engineer for Lykes Pasco Packing Co. in Dade City, Fla. He served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Cone was married to the former Norma Knapp April 10, 1936, in Angola, Ind.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Charles of Gladwin; one daughter, Sandra Kuerbitz of Drayton Plains; one brother, Arthur of Hudson, Fla.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Juanita Rock of Standish and Mrs. Joan Kinasz of Beaverton. A sister, Bernice Rock, preceded him in death in 1982.
Services were held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Roy Glasgow officiated and burial was in the Billings Township Cemetery
