Joel Combs
SERVICES SATURDAY FOR JOEL COMBS
Joel A. Combs, 71, of Gladwin, died early this morning (Wednesday) in Saginaw Veteran's
Hospital after a long illness. Born in Missouri on Sept. 17, 1897, he came to Gladwin County
three years ago from Birmingham. Mr. Combs was a retired oil well driller and a veteran of
World War I. He was married to Regina Feeley on April 4, 1921, in Kansas.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Hall, of Gladwin and Mrs.
Joan Culloch, of Pontiac; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Martin, Coffeyville, Kan. and Mrs. Beatrice
Slattery, of California; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. John Cermak
will officiate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
