Mary Colbeck
Mary June Colbeck, 72, of Hillman and formerly of Beaverton, died Sunday, Nov 13, in Provincial House Nursing Home, Alpena,
after a long illness. Born in Gladwin County June 2, 1916, she lived here until moving to Saginaw and then back to Beaverton.
She moved to Hillman in 1982. Mrs. Colbeck worked for Greer Abstract in Gladwin and then for Lawyers Title Service and
Abstract in Saginaw for 42 years until retiring in 1980. She attended the United Methodist Church.
The former Mary June Thomson, she was married to Kenneth Colbeck Feb. 23, 1935, in Saginaw. Besides her husband, she is
survived by one son, James of Gaylord; one brother, Mack Thomson of Clare; and 3 granddaughters. A sister and 3 brothers
preceded her in death.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Levi Troyer officiated and
burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
