Hugh Colbeck
ILLNESS FATAL TO HUGH COLBECK
Hugh L. Colbeck, 87, of Route 1, Hope, died on Saturday following an illness of one and one-half year. He was born in
Ontario, Canada, on Sept. 4, 1871, and had lived in Gladwin County for 85 years. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Colbeck was a
member of the Beavertn F. & A.M. Lodge.
Survivors include a son James, of Saginaw; a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Gandy, of Route 1, Hope; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Kent,
Mrs. Anna Sterling, and Mrs. Nina Fox; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at
2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Verne Summers officiating. Burial was in Billings Cemetery.
