Earl Colbeck
ILLNESS FATAL TO EARL COLBECK
Earl F. Colbeck, of Beaverton, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, at the Gladwin Nursing Home following a long illness. Born Oct. 4, 1891
in Billings Township, Mr. Colbeck was 72 years old. He spent his lifetime in Gladwin County as a farmer and construction
foreman, and in later years operated a dry goods store in Beaverton until his retirement. He was well-known in the county,
having served several years as a supervisor of Beaverton City and as secretary of the Gladwin County Fair for a number of
years.
Mr. Colbeck and the former Pansy Hunter were married in Tobacco Township Nov. 27, 1920. Survivors are his wife Pansy; two
brothers and a sister. Services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home and burial will be in the
Edenville Cemetery.
