Alice Colbeck
Mrs. Alice Colbeck, 84, of Billings Township, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Jodeman Nursing Home, West Branch, after a long
illness. Born in Lapeer Count on Oct. 2, 1885, she had lived in Gladwin County 67 years. The former Alice Wilder, she was
married to Stephen Colbeck on Sept. 19, 1904. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1953.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Leuenberger, of Beaverton, Mrs. Olive Fleming and Mrs. Edna Dicken, of Gladwin and
Mrs. Hazel Gill, of Midland; two sisters, Mrs. Edna White, of Gladwin and Mrs. Jennie Tripp, of Lapeer; two brothers, Robert,
of East Tawas and Alton, of Flint; 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. One son preceded her in death.
Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. John Cermak officiated and burial was in the
Billings Cemetery.
