Vera Codling
Mrs. Vera A. Codling, 67, of 3962 South Bard Rd., Beaverton, died Monday, Oct. 29, in the Clare Nursing Home following an
illness of three months.
Born in Gladwin County on March 23, 1912, she had spent her lifetime here. Mrs. Codling worked at one time in the dietary
department at the Clare Osteopathic Hospital. She attended the Elm Grove Church of God.
The former Vera Wechter, she was married to Percy Codling on October 27, 1934, in Beaverton Township. He preceded her in
death May 26, 1979.
Surviving are one son, Richard of Beaverton; 2 daughters, Mrs. Norris (Ruth) Wilson of Farwell and Mrs. Elvis (Connie) Denton
of Clare; 11 grandhcildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. Elders Harold McAllister and
Leon Methner and the Rev. Virgil Brinkman officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
