Robert Cochrane
Robert "Rob" Dean Cochrane, 17, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born Aug. 29, 1989 to Gilbert and Tina (Schiele) Cochrane of Pontiac.
He was senior at Hill McCloy High School in Montrose. During his high school career he played four years of football and three years of track. Outside of school Rob participated in karate and also was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 1037 of Bloomfield Hills, where he was an Eagle Scout candidate. After graduation in June, Rob planned on continuing his education at Ferris State University.
Rob was a kind, generous, caring person, with an amazing ability to make anyone laugh. He was a loyal friend, loving grandson and a wonderful son. He was dearly loved by all his family and friends and will be forever missed.
He is survived by his mother and father, Tina and Gil Cochrane of Pontiac; his grandparents, Dean and Wanetta Cochrane of Beaverton, and Barb and Bill King of Pontiac; great-grandma St. John of Pontiac, and great-grandma Maier of Beaverton; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed by James, Chris and Cierra.
The funeral was held on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006 at the Sparks Griffin Funeral Home in Pontiac.
