Death Takes Beaverton Man At 79

   Beaverton---Robert Cochran, 79, a resident of Gladwin County for more than 50 years, died Monday evening at the Midland Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Cochran was a retired farmer. He was born May 12, 1878 in Carter County, Tenn. He married the former Ellen Skinner in June, 1902. Mr. Cochran was a member of the Beaverton Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Ellen, two daughters, Mrs. Ellis McKimmy, Beaverton, Mrs. Theodore Colbeck, Saginaw; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Nat Cochran, Midland, George Cochran, Blissfield, and James Cochran Unicoi Tenn.

   Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Dale Methodist Church. The Rev. Vernon Summers will officiate assisted by the Rev. Earl Atkinson. The services will be under the auspices of the Beaverton F& AM. Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin on Wednesday. After Wednesday, friends may call at the Cochran family residence in Beaverton.
