Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Leona Cline

   Leona F. Cline, 85, of Midland went to be with her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at MidMichigan Medical Center- Midland.

   She was born Aug. 23, 1922 in Detroit to the late E. Clarence and M. Ethel (Bearss) Decker.

   She married Murray Cline on April 6, 1944 in Detroit. He passed away on Oct. 13, 1966.

   Mrs. Cline graduated from Harper Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit in February 1944. A registered nurse, she had been a Midland resident since 1955 and had worked at the Midland Hospital, Town & Country Nursing Home and Provincial Home, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she did volunteer work and also enjoyed baking, yarn crocheting and was an avid reader.

   Mrs. Cline is survived two daughters, Karen (John) Krick of Midland and Kathy (Will) Morley of Gladwin; three sons, Robert (Billie) Cline of Midland, Carl (Debbie) Cline of Reese and James Cline (Paul Schulz) of Valparaiso, Indiana; brother, Leigh (Virginia) Decker of Deckerville; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Manwell; and two grandsons, Timothy Mowat and Wilson Morley, Jr.

   Funeral services were held Dec. 10, 2007 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastors Matthew Keixk and Paul Muephrey officiating. Interment was at Downing Cemetery in Deckerville.
