Paul Clarey
Paul A. Clarey, 24, of 121 1/2 West Cedar Ave., Gladwin, died of injuries
sustained in an auto accident on M-61 in Clare County Tuesday, Feb. 20. Born in Bay City on
January 10, 1955, he had spent most of his life here. Mr. Clarey served in the U.S. Marine Corps
in 1975 and was employed by Wolverine Camper Co. in Gladwin.
Surviving are his father, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Clarey of Freeland; his mother, Mr. and Mrs.
Steve (Lois) Gordon of Sturgis; 3 sisters, Mrs. Herman (Mary) Bertleit of Tawas, Mrs. David (Peggy)
Hilyard of Coleman and Dorcee Clarey of Ann Arbor; 4 brothers, Hobart of Grand Rapids, Roderick of
Coleman, Timothy of Clare and Patrick of Freeland; his fiance, Linda Hager of Gladwin; and 3
step-sisters of Freeland.
Services were held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Father
Joseph Castanier officiated and burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
