Harvey McCracken
Harvey McCracken died at his home in Hamilton
township of gangrene Feb. 6, aged 74 years and 9 days.
He was born in Pennslvania Jan. 28, 1838, and was
married to Mary McArthur Jan. 18, 1871. They have been
residents of Hamilton township about 14 years. Mr.
McCracken was a veteran of the Civil war in which he
served three years. He was a member of the Lutheran
church.
Services were held at the home at 12 o'clock noon
and at the Sherman church at 2 p.m. Feb. 8, by Rev. J.
W. Tolly, followed by interment in Sherman cemetery.
His wife and four daughters, Madams Emma Stockton and
Pearl Cassiday of Hamilton township, and Belle Fillion
and Cora Ferguson of Pennsylvania; three son, Thurman
and Ward McCracken of Hamilton township, and Rex
McCracken of Germfest, Michigan, survive him.
