Edward Chandler
Edward Leigh Chandler, 69, of Gladwin (formerly of Romulus), died Aug. 25, 2005, in the presence of his devoted wife, Vicki. The son of Sheldon Chandler (deceased) and Helen Greca of Romulus, he was born Feb. 5, 1936 in Inkster.
He is survived by four children, Donna (Chris) Larsen of Seattle, Washington, Charlotte Gandee of Phoenix, Arizona, Bennett (Yolanda) of Dearborn, and Adam (Sarah) of Ithaca, New York; grandchildren, Jayme Gandee, Montana and Caitlin Larsen, Anthony and Bennett Chandler, Rose Chandler; and siblings, Sheldon and Norman Chandler and Marilynn (Ray) Sacker. Ed was a member of Aerie 3292, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
A memorial service and pot luck lunch will be held at his home, 4121 Riley Rd., Gladwin at 2 p.m. Sept. 10. Memorial contributions may be made to assist his wife with expenses related to his inspiring struggle with cancer over the past year and a half. For information call Adam Chandler at 607-342-3757.
