Maxine Cassiday
Maxine V. Cassiday, 86, of Gladwin passed away Monday, March 19, 2007 at home after a long illness.
Maxine was born in Gladwin on May 24, 1920 to Harry and Leona (Eagleson) Knight.
She has resided in Gladwin County her whole life. She was a past member of the Rebeckah's of Gladwin; VFW #7303 Ladies Auxillary of Gladwin and the Disabled Ameerican Veterans in Lake City. Maxine was a homemaker.
Maxine married Delvin Cassidy on June 20, 1941 in Gladwin. He preceded her in death in November 2003 She is survived by their children, Shirley (James) Newman, Richard (Kathleen) Cassiday, and L. Jean (Charles) Cassiday-Nienhuis all of Gladwin; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Walters of West Branch and Geneva "Dottie" Elwood of Merrill. Along with her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jack, Daniel "Chum," and Glenn "Short" Knight.
Visitaion is Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 3-9 p.m at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, 440 E. Cedar Ave., Gladwin. Funeral services are Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Feuerstein officiating. Burial will take place in Skeels Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands.
