James Carter

   James E. Carter, 68, of Gladwin, formerly of Waterford, died suddenly Oct. 4, 2005.

   Mr. Carter was a professional fire fighter and paramedic with the Waterford Fire Department. He was a member of the Waterford Eagles Lodge #2887 and the Secord Eagles Lodge #4121.
Mr. Carter was the beloved husband of Mary Rederstorf Carter; dear father of Steven (Sandi) Carter, Scott (Patti) Carter, Susan (Rick) Weaver and Kara Vierik; dear brother of Della Mitchell, Lloyd (Peggy) Carter, Doris (Raney) Taulbee, Mary (Don) Williams, Lois Wolfe and T.H. (Jeanne) Carter, Jr.; loving Bumpa of Jamie, Austin, Nicholas, Brittni, Ryan, Nathan, Zachary and Emily; and brother-in-law of Vern (Doris) Rederstorf and Kathy (Bob) Wilton.

   Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 8 at the Riverside Chapel, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home in Waterford. Interment was in Crescent Hills Cemetery.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Gladwin Area.
