Cullie Caroer
Cullie C. Carper, 62, of Gladwin, died Sept. 14, 2005 at home following a short illness.
He was born in Gladwin on Oct. 20, 1942 to Cullie and Beatrice (Cooper) Carper. He married Barbara Cooper in Gladwin on March 31, 1979. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. He worked at Chrysler in Detroit and served in the Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Carper of Gladwin; five daughters, Nanette (Ahmad) Ramah of Hazel Park, Sarah (Chris) Reinke of Gladwin, Wendy Wheeler of Detroit, Daphne (John) Horvat of Westland, and Peggy (David) Alvey of Warren; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Garland Carper and Herbert Carper, both of Gladwin; and two sisters, Gloria Doane of Harrison and Delores Cleveland of Clare. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, William Carper and James Carper.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 17 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin, with Pastor Brad Withrow officiating. Burial followed at Arbutus Cemetery in Gladwin.
