Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Pauline Card

   Pauline “Polly” Card - Kareus, 85, of Beaverton passed away suddenly April 9, 2008 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland.

   She was born in Gladwin June 14, 1922 to Curtis and Margaret (Mayberry) Faler.

   She was employed as a physical therapist/x-ray technician, working for several doctors at Gladwin Medical Center. She retired in 1986. Polly was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County and a member of the Gladwin Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 3292 and VFW Auxiliary.

   Polly married Jack Card Oct. 24, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1983. She then married Warren Kareus June 1, 1987. He preceded her in death in 2001.

   She is survived by her son, Pat (Sheryll) Card of Sanford; daughters, Barbara (Ed) Shearer of Beaverton and Cheri Jo (Michael) Berry of Gladwin; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Kobe of Clare and Ruth Faler of Midland; and several nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by two husbands; her parents; brother, Paul Faler; and sister, June Gere.

   Funeral services were held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Hall- Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. She was laid to rest in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions can be made to Gladwin Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre Activities Department.
