Wayne Carbeno
Wayne D. Carbeno, 84, of Gladwin, passed away Friday, Feb. 4 at his home. He was born Feb. 2, 1921 in Gladwin to Charles and Eva Brunner Carbeno. Wayne married the former Marion Gooden on Sept. 25, 1940 in Wagarville. He was a member of the Gladwin Free Methodist Church and was a Veteran of WWII. Wayne retired from Dow Chemical in 1977.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; three sons, Charles (Maxine) Carbeno of Coleman, Dennis (Debra) Carbeno of Gladwin, and David Carbeno of Beaverton; two daughters, Mary Lou Muma of Gladwin, and Carol (Charles) Waldron of Harrison; 12 grandchildren, 15 Great grandchildren and one Great great grandchild. He is predeceased by one sister, Ruth Grice of Gladwin; one daughter, Patricia Holm; two grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters. Services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at the Gladwin Free Methodist Church. Rev. Phil Hortop officiated and burial took place in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorials may be made to the Free Methodist Church or Mid Michigan Hospice.
