Miles Campbell
A man named Miles Campbell, who was employed at E.
C. Diffin's camp on the Tittabawassee, was struck on
the head by a falling tree last Wednesday afternoon
and instantly killed. He had just eaten dinner and
gone to work in apparently excellent spirits, when the
first tree fallen produced the above fatal result.
His body was brought to this place Wednesday night,
a coffin procured, and taken to Sanford station on the
F & P. M. R. R., from whence it was sent to Lagglin,
Ont., where his friends reside. Campbell was a single
man, 28 years of age, and had been in the state only
about six weeks.
