Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Clair Campbell

   Clair E. Campbell, 60, 5648 Parker Rd., Gladwin, died Saturday, Oct. 18, in the Midland Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past year. Born i Grout Township on October 18, 1916, he was the son of Roy and Mabel Roberts Campbell and attended Gladwin County schools. He was a farmer in Grout Township all his life and was well-known as a custom farmer for other farmers.

   Mr. Campbell and the former Gertrude Fackler were married in Gladwin on June 25, 1939. He was a charter member of the McClure Wesleyan Holiness Church. Surviving are his wife Gertrude; 2 sons, Luren of Breckenridge, and Robert of Ashley; 4 brothers, Earl of Flint, Grover of Fort Myers, Fla., Gerald of Naples, Fla., and Alvin of London, England; 3 sisters, Mrs. Valda Shelar and Mrs. Nina Reppert both of Spring Arbor, and Mrs. Warren (Donna) Pike of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and 8 grandchildren.

   Services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Avery officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery.
