RICHARD CAMERON DIES SUDDENLY
Richard L. Cameron, 31, of Grout Township, died suddenly at his home Sunday morning of a
heart attack. Born in Gladwin on June 16, 1936, he had spent his lifetime in Gladwin County.
He was employed by Dow Chemical Co. in Midland. Mr. Cameron was a member of the Knights of
Columbus and was in the service in 1961 and 1962.
Surviving are his father, Alex, of Grout Township; five brothers, Ken of Coleman, Duane and
Paul of Gladwin, Larry of Standish and Tom in Durand; eight sisters, Mrs. Lucille Plude, Mrs.
Agnes Oard of Beaverton, Mrs. Helen Ballard, Gladwin, Mrs. Jean Hickerson, Gaylord, Mrs. Patricia
Haring of Clare, Mrs. Kathy McLincha of Bentley and Marcele and Susie at home.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 from the Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Father
George Artman officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the
Hall Funeral Home.
