RITES HELD FOR GEORGE CAMERON
George Cameron, 74, of Sage Township, died Sunday in Veterans' Hospital, Ann Arbor, after
an illnes of two months. Services were held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral
Home. The Rev. Father George Artman officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Cameron
was born on Nov. 12, 1891, in St. Clair County, and came to Gladwin County 65 years ago. He was
a veteran of World War I and a retired farmer. He married Vorance Anderson on Sept. 15, 1918, in
Detroit.
Mr. Cameron is survived by his wife; four sons, Dewey, of Flint, Lloyd, of Clio, Jack and Dean,
of Gladwin; four daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Fox, of Gladwin, Mrs. Opal Thomson, of Clare, Mrs. Irene
Palmer, of Midland, and Mrs. Joan Husak, Of Lansing; three brothers, Angus, Alex and Daniel, of
Gladwin; one sister, Mrs. Alice Flynn, of Flint; 24 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
