Duane Cameron
Duane Cameron, 68, of Gladwin died March 13, 2007 at MidMichigan Medical Center–Midland. He was born Aug. 26, 1938 to Doc and Vera (Tenwalde) Cameron in Gladwin.
He was a lifetime farmer, as well as a Union Carpenter who worked throughout the years for several construction companies, retiring from Faulkner Construction in Midland. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County.
Duane married Joyce (Blank) Cameron on Aug. 27, 1960 in Gladwin. She survives him Also surviving are his children, Crystal and Greg Dicken of Gladwin, and Kirk and Judy Cameron of Gladwin; his grandchildren, Deven Dicken, Zak Cameron, Kasie Dicken, Nikki Cameron and Jeremy (Nicole) Dicken; his brothers and sisters, Lucille Plude of Gladwin, Helen and Clarence Ballard of Gladwin, Agnes Oard of Beaverton, Jean Hickerson of Gaylord, Paul and JoAnne Cameron of Gladwin, Larry and Louise Cameron of Standish, Patricia and Lanny Haring of Clare, Tom and Bev Cameron of Durand, Marcele and Bob Miller of Beaverton, and Sue Lang of Beaverton; his sister- in-law, Dorothy Cameron of Coleman; his brother-in-law, Lyle McLincha of Bentley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Ken, Richard and Robert Cameron; his sisters, Kathy McLincha, Mildred Cameron and Marilyn Cameron; and brothers-in-law, Edward Plude, Harold Oard and Joe Hickerson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 16 at 11 a.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin with Pastor Phil Hortop officiating. He will be buried in Grout Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, March 15 from 2-9 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the donor’s favorite charity or Gladwin Free Methodist Church.
