Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
SERVICES FRIDAY

T/5 DONALD J. CAMERON

   Funeral services for T/5 G. Donald J. Cameron will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church, with the Fr. K. E. McGinn officiating. Burial will be in the Highland cemetery, under the auspices of the Gladwin Chapter Veterans of Foreign Wars. A Rosary wil be read at the Hall Funeral Home on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock.

   T/5 Cameron was born in Gladwin on September 27, 1923, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cameron and attended the Gladwin schools. He entered military service on February 27, 1943, receiving his basic training at Miami, Florida, and Fort Crook, Omaha, Nebraska. Don, was stationed with the 8th Air Force in England from October, 1943, until January, 1945, when he was transferred to the infantry. He was killed in action on April 16, 1945, in Germany, and buried in a military cemetery in Holland.

   Surviving are his parents; two brothers, Francis and James, of Gladwin; six sisters, Mrs. Alfred Belanger of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Walter Nehil of Midland, Mrs. Eugene Shultz of Gladwin and Alice and Barbara at home.
