Oswald Caisse
Oswald B. Caisse, 86, of Gladwin died Aug. 26, 2005 at Gladwin Pines Nursing Home in Gladwin. He was born in Hamilton, Ontario on Oct. 14, 1918 to Edward and Marie (Bethune) Caisse. He married the former Evelyn M. Rushton on Oct. 11, 1947 in Highland Park. He was a diamond cutter for General Electric in Warren.
He served in the U.S. Air Corp during World War II. He lived in Gladwin County since 2002, having previously resided in Florida. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 6695 in Plymouth. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Caisse of Gladwin; his son, Joseph Caisse of Gladwin; his daughter, Yvonne (Gerald) Gerou of Dorr; four grandchildren, Lisa Caisse, Renee Winkleblack, Patti Gerou and Christopher Gerou; a Great grandchild, Tristian Winkleblack; a sister, Ilene Patterson of Farmington Hills; and several nieces and nephews in England and the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service was held Aug. 29 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin with Rev. Mary Jo Schuetz officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
