Leon Cadaral
KILLED IN CAMP
Since our last issue we have
learned the particulars of the fatal accident, which
occurred at J. F. Rust & Co.'s camp, six miles below
this place on the Cedar, on the 6th inst. A young
Frenchman, named Leon Cadaral, was sawing a log, when
a tree which the choppers were felling a short
distance away, in its descent struck another tree,
breaking off the top, which came down, a large limb
striking Cadaral on the back, crushing him to the
earth. His companion cut away the limb, and turning
over the young man found him dead. The remains were
sent to friends in East Saginaw. Deceased was a single
man 24 years of age, and hailed from near Quebec.
