Vera Buzzell
Mrs. Vera Buzzell, 70, of 1780 McNamara Rd., Gladwin, died Friday, April 9, in
the Midland Hospital Center following a short illness. Born in Midland County on July 9, 1911,
she had spent most of her life here. The former Vera Tuck, she was married to Loren Buzzell December
22, 1928, in Gladwin. He preceded her in death October 16, 1963.
Surviving are 2 sons, Ronald and Robert of Gladwin; 4 daughters, Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Brubaker of
Midland, Mrs. Lembert (Gladys) Nichols of Auburn, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Corlew of Mt. Morris, and
Mrs. Gordon (Judy) Hayward of Clio; her mother Mrs. Della Tuck of Gladwin; 4 brothers, Ken, Wayne
and Gordon Tuck of Gladwin and Howard Tuck of Coleman; 4 sisters, Mrs. Velma Tuckerman of Beaverton,
Mrs. Marcella Dull of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mrs. Ruth Saide and Mrs. Dorothy Mercier of Midland; a close
friend, Joe Gibbas of Bay City; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A daughter, Donna May,
preceded her in death in 1933.
Services were held Monday at 3:30 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Robert
Shoaff officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery.
