Loren Buzzell
RITES HELD FOR LOREN BUZZELL
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home for Loren
Buzzell, 54, well known Grout Township man, who died Wednesday at the Midland Hospital after a three
week illness. The Rev. Ross Tracy officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery. A lifetime resident
of Gladwin County, he was born Feb. 7, 1909, in Grout Township to the late Enoch and Katie Buzzell.
He was married to the former Vera Tuck in 1928, and had been employed by the Dow Chemical Company for
17 years.
Surviving are his wife, Vera; two sons, Ronald, of Gladwin, and Robert, at home;
four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Nichols, of Auburn, Mrs. Ruth Brubaker, of Midland, Mrs. Shirley Corlew,
of Mt. Morris, and Mrs. Judy Hayward, of North Carolina; a brother, Freeman, and a sister, Mrs. Viola
Denning, of Gladwin; and eight grandchildren. A daughter, Donna May, preceded him in death in 1933.
