James B. Burt
PASSES AWAY AT RIPE AGE AT SAGINAW --- BROUGHT TO GLADWIN FOR BURIAL
James B. Burt died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Frank Keyser, in Saginaw, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. of
paralysis, having been an invalid for many years. He
was from the state of New York, was born August 20,
1832, and was aged 82 years, four months and 25 days.
He was a resident of Gladwin 13 years, coming here
from Chesaning. In August he went to reside with his
daughter, Mrs. Keyser in Saginaw. The body was brought
to Gladwin Friday and taken to the home of his son,
Louis Burt, where services were held Sunday afternoon
at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. John W. Hayward.
Interment in Highland cemetery. He is survived by his
wife, one son, Louis Burt, and two daughters Mrs.
Frank Keyser of Saginaw and Mrs. Lewis Birdsall of
Gladwin.
