IVAN BURR
Ivan B. (Ben) Burr, 72, of 4554 S. M-18, Beaverton, died Sunday, May 2, 1993, at his home after a long illness. Born in Rosebush, June 8, 1920, he had spent his lifetime in Gladwin County. Mr. Burr was a technician in the Ag-Chem Research Department at Dow Chemical Co. for 34 years and retired in 1982. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Beaverton United Methodist Church. Mr. Burr and the former Marjorie McDonald were married Aug. 22, 1942, in Charlevoix.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Stephen fo Beaverton and Dennis of Pace, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Sandra) Duke of Davisburg; 2 sisters, Bernice Mercer and Margarette Yager of Beaverton; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Earl and Lester and a sister, Cora Statler.
Services were held today, Wednesday, at 11 a.m. from the Beaverton Methodist Church. The Rev. David Stewart officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Beaverton Methodist Church. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. .
