William Burgess
William Burgess died at his home at Dale, Dec. 23, after a long illness with dropsy and complications. The funeral was held at Dale M.E. church Friday, Dec. 26, and was quite largely attended considering the stormy zero weather. Mr. Burgess was 60 years of age. He leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Rollins of Beaverton and Mrs. Nancy Woodring of Detroit. He was an old resident of Dale and a charter member of Dale Arbor of Gleaners.
Among those from a distance who attended the funeral were Ed Burgess, a brother, and wife, and Mrs. Alice Mills, a sister, who lives near Port Huron, and Mr. and Mrs. Lewie Woodring of Detroit. Rev. Burt preached the funeral sermon.
