James Budai

James W. Budai, 60, of Gladwin, passed away suddenly Thursday, Dec. 12, 1996, in his home. James W. Budai was born April 26, 1936, in Gladwin. He married the former Diane K. Boillat on April 7, 1966, in West Branch. He had been employed by Michigan Bell and Ameritech as an installer-repair until his retirement in June 1994 after 40 years.
He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin and was a member of the Secord Township Zoning Board.
Surviving are his wife, Diane K. Budai of Gladwin; a son, William Budai of Bowling Green, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Christopher Warren and Melissa and Christopher O'Connell of Midland; three grandchildren; his mother Anna Johnson of Gladwin; and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Gail Budai of Las Vegas, Nev.
Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 1996, from the Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin. The Rev. Glenn Lee will officiate, with burial in Highland Cemetery, Gladwin. Friends may call at the Hall Funeral Home, 440 E. Cedar Ave., Gladwin today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday noon to 9 p.m.
