William W. Bryan I
William W. Bryan I, 68, of Gladwin passed away Sunday, Feb. 26 at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1937 in Flint to Will and Myrtle (Woodmansee) Bryan. Bill married the former Betty Collins on Sept. 3, 1988 in Ovid. They moved to Gladwin in 1997. He was a member of the Secord Baptist Church. Bill retired from General Motors in 1995.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; two sons, William W. Bryan II of Gladwin and David (Traci) Bryan of Flint; one daughter, Kelly Hayes of Beaverton; four stepsons, Anthony Bales of Virginia, Danny Bales of Lordstown, Ohio, David Bales of Beaverton and Steven (Nancy) Bales of Melville, Ohio; six grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren; two brothers, Delbert Bryan of Gladwin and James Carpus of Arizona; and one sister, Mary McCarthy of Arizona. He is predeceased by one daughter, Laura Lee Bryan; one great grandson, Ivan Mitchell; and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4 at 1 p.m. at the Secord Baptist Church. Pastor Tim Lambert will officiate. Sisson funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
