Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Charlie Brushaber

   Charlie Brushaber, 103, of Flushing, formerly of Gladwin and Prudenville, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at Hyde Park Assisted Living.

   Mr. Brushaber was born April 25, 1904 in Beaverton, Michigan, the son of John and Pearl (Taylor) Brushaber. His wife, Jennie Opal Latta, preceded him in death In 1995.

   He retired from Dow Chemical and earlier from the Gladwin County Road Commission. He was a huge Detroit Tiger baseball fan, an avid hunter and enjoyed ice fishing.

   Surviving are three children, Fame (Groves) and husband Jim Jones of Higgins Lake, Michigan and Olsmar, Florida, Wilma Lohman of Texas, and Darwin and wife Shirley Krueger Brushaber of Prudenville Michigan, and Palmetto, Florida; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

   A memorial service will be held in Gladwin in the spring.

   Arrangements were provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek.
