George Bruner
George H. Bruner, 55, of Clare, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, in the Veteran's
Administration Hospital, Ann Arbor. Born in Gladwin County on April 10, 1925, he attended
Gladwin schools and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Clare DAV
and was a truck driver for the fuel gas industry.
Surviving are 2 sons, Kenneth of Burton and Wally of Flint; 6 daughters, Mrs. Catherine
Shinabarger of Grand Blanc, Mrs. Carol Stoner and Mrs. Susie Juneac of Burton, Mrs. Connie
Shinabarger, Mrs. Laurel Munsey an dMrs. Joy Lane of Flint; 2 brothers, Charles of Mason and
Lawrence of Williamston; 5 sisters, Mrs. Elpha Murray, Mrs. Francis Day and Mrs. Nancy Mills
of Gladwin, Mrs. Florence Ridley of Williamston and Mrs. Joyce Day of Midland; and 14 grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Helena Egts
officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery.
