Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
David Bruner

   David G. Bruner, 79, of Gladwin, Michigan died Feb. 20, 2005 at Saginaw Veterans Hospital in Saginaw. He was born Jan. 13, 1926 in Flint to Albert and Edith (Eslick) Bruner. He married the former Ann V. Demary on March 21, 1947 in Gladwin; she preceded him in death in 1991. He married the former Bess Chandler on Oct. 24, 1992. Bruner was a block layer at Vernon Drilling in Big Rapids. He was U.S. Army Veteran, serving during WWII. He lived in Gladwin County most of his life, having previously resided in Hale. He was a member of American Legion Post 171 and V.F.W. Post 7303.

   Surviving him are his wife, Bess Bruner of Gladwin; five step children, Kenneth Ferguson of Gladwin, Cynthia Cassidy of Gladwin, Kimberly (Brad) Lewis of Gladwin, Michell (Jim) Malmo of Gladwin, and Thomas Ferguson of Lapeer; eight grandchildren and one Great grandchild; one sister, Marion Bourlier of Gladwin; and two brothers, Daniel Bruner and Delbert Bruner, both of Gladwin. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ann, and by his parents.

   Funeral services will be held of Friday, Feb. 25 at 1 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin, with Pastor Clark Shank officiating. Burial will take place at Butman Cemetery in Gladwin. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin.
