ROBERT BROWN
Robert L. Brown, 45, of 4506 S. M-18, Beaverton, died suddenly Wednesday, April 4, while at work at Dow Chemical Co. in Midland. Born in St. Louis on September 21, 1933, he came to Gladwin County in 1936. Mr. Brown was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Gladwin Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3292. He and the former Joan Longstreth were married on December 12, 1953, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Marcia) Grant, Kimberly and Debra, all of Beaverton and Steven of Grand Rapids; his mother, Mrs. Gene (Zella) Oberlander of Beaverton; 3 sisters, Mrs. Eloise Russell and Mrs. Jackie Roehrs of Beaverton and Mrs. Terry Schanhals of Alaska; one brother, Larry of Harrison; and 2 grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Henry List officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery..
