Lawrence Brown
Lawrence R. Brown, 78, of Gladwin, passed away Thursday, June 22 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Hazel Park on Feb. 15, 1928 to the late Edward and Emily (Metson) Brown. He retired from Michigan Bell Telephone after 40 years of service. He moved to Gladwin in 1988. He was also a veteran of the Korean War. He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by one sister-in- law, MaryAnn Brown of Royal Oak; nieces and nephews, Laural Breault, Jill Rosin and George Breault all of Gladwin, Darwin Breault of Hillsdale, Mark Brown of Detroit and Paula Brown of Nebraska; and all of his friends and neighbors in the Four Season Sub Division.
A funeral service was held Monday, June 26 at Sisson Funeral Home with Rev. Mary Jo Schuetz presiding with burial in McClure Cemetery. The family requests memorial for the Visiting Nurses, Mid Michigan Hospice or the charity of your choice.
