Larry Brown Jr.
Larry C. Brown Jr., 69, of Gladwin passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007 at his home.
He was born Sept. 3, 1938 in Ferndale to Larry and Dorothy (Simcek) Brown Sr. Larry served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962.
He married the former Janet Ford on Nov. 14, 1959 in Royal Oak. They moved to Gladwin in 1972. He owned and operated North Star Sales in Gladwin.
Larry was a member of the Gladwin Eagles, an avid golfer and loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; one daughter, Kelly (Michael) Friar of Charlotte, Michigan; two granddaughters, Emily and Ashley Friar; his mother, Dorothy Brown of Gladwin; and one sister, Barbara Miller of Davison. Larry is predeceased by one son, Kirk Brown in 1995; one sister, Carol Ku; and his father.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Gladwin. Pastors Tony Alexander and Sam Wilson officiated. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.
