SERVICES HELD FOR HERBERT BROWN
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Methodist Church for Herbert Dane Brown, 51, who died suddenly Sunday in Harrison following a heart attack. The Rev. Gordon Showers officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery. Born on Feb. 15, 1912, in St. Louis, Mich., he was married to the former Zella Morrow on July 1, 1929. He had lived in Gladwin County 23 years and was a partner in the Hall Lumber Company, Beaverton, from 1938 to 1958, and also in the Harrison Hardware. He retired and moved to Harrison four years ago. He was a member of F. & A. M. Lodge 453 in Beaverton, and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Zella; three sons, Robert and Kenneth, of Beaverton, and Larry, of Harrison; three daughters, Mrs. Eloise Russell and Mrs. Jacqueline Roehrs, of Beaverton, and Terry Brown, at home; three brothers, Leland, of Battle Creek; Jerry, of Plaserville, Calif., and Keith of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Van Scoye, of Dressler, Ohio; and 16 grandchildren. .
