Brandon Brown
BRANDON BROWN
Brandon S. Brown, 76, of 2083 Erickson Rd., Rhodes, died Wednesday, April 4, 1990, at 1070 Walnut St., Billings Township. Born in Beaverton, Jan. 29, 1913, he had spent most of his life in the county. Mr. Brown was a heavy equipment operator and member of the 324th Operating Engineers. He served in the Army as a Tech 4 during World War II. Mr. Brown and the former Betty Kortkamp were married April 29, 1939, in Detroit. She died Nov. 18, 1982. He then married the former Alta Chambers Groh, Oct. 13, 1984, in Beaverton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Brandon of St. Joseph and Bruce of Reed City; 4 step-daughters, Mrs. William (Donna) Gromaski, Mrs. Ervin (Elizabeth) Foor and Mrs. Russell (Sally) Bennett of Rhodes and Mrs. Leonard (Judy) LaBean of Pinconning; one step-son, John Groh of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Wehrle of Beaverton; 8 grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday at 7 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel, with Chaplain Joseph Brown of the Gladwin County VFW Post 7303, officiating.
Found dead by GSW in Billings twp residence of friend.
