Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
Terry Brasington

   Terry L. Brasington, 60, of Evart, died Saturday, Nov. 19 at his property in Osceola Township. He was born in Isabella County on Oct. 16, 1945 to Elton and Arlene (Robinette) Brasington. He graduated from Gladwin High School in 1963 and was president of his graduating class. He married the former Darlene Greer on June 29, 1974 in Greenville. He was a lineman for Consumers Energy. He retired to Evart from Rockford in 2001. He served as president of Utilities Workers Union Local 261. He was a member of the Evart Moose Lodge #2452 and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3761 in Lake. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam war. He enjoyed deer hunting.

   Surviving are his wife, Darlene Brasington of Evart; his stepmother, Cora Brasington of Fort Myers, Florida; three daughters, Kelly Jo (Scott) Decker of Hubbardston, Lauri (Andy) Vendzuh of Clinton Township, and Robin (Jon) Weaver of Liberty Center, Ohio; two sons, Troy (Brenda) Greer of Howard City and Brook (Jodi) Brasington of Evart; 15 grandchildren, Brook Ann, Brittany, Bree, Brendan, Cameron, Connor, Micala, Darren, Dillen, Ashley, Loganne, Riley, Lindsey, Dakota and Andrew; two brothers, Dan (Rita) Brasington of St. Johns and Steve Brasington of Fennville; one sister, Darla (Dave) Moore of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

   The funeral will be held at Corey Funeral Home in Evart on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Russ Atherton, Pastor of Evart Free Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
