JACK BRANSCOM
Jack B. Branscom, 77, of 4273 Monroe Rd., Midland, died Monday, Jan. 25, in the Saginaw V.A. Medical Center after a long illness. Born in Jackson County, Ohio, Oct. 23, 1910, he moved to Midland County 48 years ago from Ohio. He was self-employed and a member of the Midland Baptist Church. Mr. Branscom served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Branscom and the former Marion Martin were married Jan. 28, 1942, in Midland. She preceded him in death May 26, 1986.
Surviving are one son, Paul of Ray, Ohio; 4 step-daughters, Mrs. Hazel Ray and Mrs. Faye Tennant of Midland, Helen Mason of Allen Park and Micki Hearns of Tampa, Fla.; 2 brothers, Sam of Midland and Lee of Chillicothe, Ohio; 2 sisters, Clara Clary of Londonderry, Ohio and Alace Benson of Chillicothe, Ohio; 24 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Rites will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. Pastor David Arvey will officiate and burial will be in the Billings Township Cemetery.
