Alvin Bradley
Alvin L. Bradley was born Nov. 8, 1829, in New York state, and died at the
home of his son, Carlos Bradley, on Grout street, in Gladwin, Feb. 27, 1918, aged 88 years, 3
months and 19 days. At an early age his parents moved to Canada where he grew to manhood and
was married to Susannah D. Carter, Dec. 3, 1850, who departed this life four years ago. They
were the parents of three children, two sons, Carlos Bradley and Cleophas Bradley of Sharon,
Kalkaska county, Mich., surviving them. He leaves also 14 grandchildren and 29 great
grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn his loss. Mr. Bradley was a Christian Advent
by belief an dlived a useful life. Service were held at the home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock
conducted by Rev. J. H. Cornelius. Burial in Grout cemetery.
