Guy Boman
SERVICES THURSDAY FOR GUY W. BOMAN
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Edenville Methodist
Church for Guy W. Boman, 81, of Edenville, who died Monday at Midland Hospital, after a short
illness. The Rev. William Vroman will officiate and burial will be in Edenville Cemetery. The
Miner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Born on Oct. 5, 1881, in Edenville Township,
Midland County, he was a construction worker with the Arenac County Conversation Dept. form 1922
to 1927, and served on the Dearborn Police Dept. form 1927 to 1930, when he moved back to Edenville.
He had lived in Gladwin County four years form 1916 to 1920 and served as Sheridan township supervison
and clerk.
In August, 1902, he was married to the former Mabel Downs in Cadillac and she preceded
him in death in 1921. He married the former Elsie Poirier on June 9, 1939, in Kalkaska, and she survives
him. Also surviving are four sons, LaVern and Traverse of Gladwin, Harold, of Midland, and Virgil, of
San Bernardino, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Susie Young, of Midland, Mrs. Gene Reithel, of Hope, Mrs.
Dorothy Henry, of Beaverton, Mrs. Evelyn Mathews, of Flint, and Mrs. Idabelle Forman, of Durand, two
brothers, John, of Edenville, and Fred, of Gladwin; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
