Clifford Boman
ILLNESS FATAL TO CLIFFORD BOMAN
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home for Clifford O. Boman,
45, of Secord Township, who died Wednesday at Tolfree Memorial Hospital, West Branch, after an
illness of 10 years. The Rev. Ross E. Tracy officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Born in Detroit on Jan. 22, 1918, he worked as a construction engineer until he became disabled
several years ago. He was married to the former Josephine Diffin on July 6, 1940, and was a veteran
of World War II with 33 months overseas service. He came to Gladwin County in 1922 from Detroit.
He was a member of the 45th Naval Seabees, the International Union of Operating Engineer's Local 324
and was a former C.C.C. member.
Besides his wife, Josephine, he is survived by two daughters, Linda and Judy; and a son, James
Clifford, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Boman, of Gladwin; and two brothers, Ralph Boman
and Gerald Fite, of Gladwin.
