Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Joseph Bokota Jr.

   Joseph J. Bokota, Jr., 60, of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida passed away on Feb. 14, 2005 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after a lengthy battle with heart disease.

   Joseph was born on Jan. 5, 1945 in Detroit.

   He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph J. Bokota, Sr. and is survived by his mother, Caroline C. Bokota of Beaverton; five sisters, Toni Matteson of Dumas, Texas, Sandra L. (Ken) Slater of Metamora, Claudia (Dan) Whitmer of Beaverton; Marilyn (Ken Dell) Bokota of Beaverton, and Cheryl Bokota of Gladwin; three nieces, Carol (Bob) Hoag, Tammy Whitmer and Justina Bokota, all of Beaverton; seven nephews, Steven (Carla) Henry of Atlas, Ron Jr., George, Rob, Bob, John and Matt Matteson, all of Dumas, Texas; and many Great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Joe will be remembered and deeply missed by his family and friends, and all those who cared for him during his illness.

   He will be laid to rest at Billings Township Cemetery, Albright Shores. Joe requested cremation and no services. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charities.
