PETER BOBB


  Peter Bobb, 82, of Beaverton, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland after a short illness. Born June 28, 1918 in Detroit, he was the son of Charles adn Mary Bobb. He lived in Gladwin County since 1930 and previously lived in Detroit. Peter married Doreen L. (Holycross), Sept. 30, 1950 in Beaverton. She preceded him in death in 1991.

  He was a farmer his whole life. He worked as a factory worker at Holly Carburetor in Clare, retiring in 1972 after 22 years. He then worked in maintenance at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, retiring in 1984 after 12 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

  Surviving are two daughters, Darlene Bobb-Juliano, and Mary Jo and husband Mark Kellogg. all of Beaverton; one son, Jerry and wife Mary Lou Holycross of Beaverton; one Brother, John of Summerfield, Fla.; six granddaughters, Tiffany Juliano, Amanda, Julia, and Anglea Kellogg, all of Beaverton, and Theresa and Angie Alcorn; one grandson, Ivor Alcorn; six greatgrandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and three sisters.

  Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton with Rev. Arthur Munger officiating. Burial will be in the Beaverton Cemetery, Beaverton. Military honors will be performed by VFW Post 7303. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
